Bicycle Wheel Rim Spoke Punching Machine - Alloy Rims

This machine was designed and built for a Cycle Manufacturer in Nottingham who required to punch the spoke holes in aluminium cycle rims. The previous method was to punch six holes and index the rim six times to complete 36 holes. A feature of this machine involved the horizontal units sliding in sub-bases so that as all the units operated, the sleeves automatically centralised the wheel rim - and after  punching the holes, all the bodies slide forwards in the base holders - ready for the next rim.
