Stainless Steel Strip Punching of Pre-Cut lengths - Door and Window Espagnolettes

This photo shows a triple deck punching machine to produce stainless steel espagnolette door and window bars in three operations. All the hydraulic units are horizontal versions which can be infinitely varied along any of the three slotted beds. The beds themselves are inclined at a convenient angle to make the dies visible and easy for the operator to load the cut blank strips into the dies. The tools are positioned by applying a strip template across the lower parts of the tool bodies and held in position by stab pins. Heavy duty units are used on the lower beds  - which include specially shaped lock and rectangular holes for gear fixing. The centre bed has units that punch ‘starfish’ holes which are then countersunk on one side by the tools on the top bed. Each strip takes about 20 to 25 seconds and around 55 different components are produced in economical batches.
