Channels for Steel Fencing Posts

Channels and I-Beams have to be end loaded into tools used on presses, custom built punching tools and machines. This machine punches slots in fence posts to make a joint position fixing hole for horizontal rail supports. The tool is based on standard ‘Minni-Die’ HM30 punch head parts and power is from a Parsell Minni-Die SF121 single acting cylinder to develop 27 tons force to punch a 28 x 10 slot in the 5mm thick steel webs. The cycle time is 2 seconds plus loading time by the operator. The front of the machine, using the same power unit, punches 17 round holes and two end slots in 50 x 50 x 6mm angle bars of 2,5 metre length.
