The interesting features on this machine are the sliding and adjustable beds. The tools are infinitely variable for any blank size within specified parameters. With the facility to locate tools at known pre-determined positions regular components can be made in batches from time to time with repeating accuracy. The middle tool to punch the lock hole group remains static and the left hand tool is on a bed which slides parallel with the rear edge of the machine and the blanks. The tool at the right hand end can slide both on its bed plate and also towards the centre tool - by sliding the bed plate. To do this, sections of the table with inserted roller balls are progressively removed as the blank sizes become smaller and the bed move towards the centre of the machine.
